Let's wrap up our discussion of carbohydrates by
considering carbohydrate requirements for different kinds of athletes. I'm also going
to show you how to calculate carbohydrate needs. We'll begin with the recommended
requirements.
We've developed a set of guidelines here at Fitness, Inc. which detail recommended
daily calorie and carbohydrates intake for athletes. The guidelines also explain
how to calculate specific recommendations for specific clients. Take a few minutes
now to review these guidelines. Then,
if you have not done so by now, be sure to read through pages 15-17 in your text. You should become familiar with the information
on the guidelines so you can use it when advising your clients.
